NHS’s Olivia McMillian receives fellowship at Juilliard School
Northside High School senior Olivia McMillian was named the recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at The Juilliard School. She will major in voice through the school’s Bachelor of Music degree program in August.
The Kovner Fellowship Program is merit-based and provides scholarship support covering the full cost of attendance to students attending The Juilliard School.
The program provides financial support and advocates for the student to develop into a future leader in the arts. Potential recipients are recommended by the faculty to the Kovner Fellows Selection committee for consideration.
The criteria for consideration are based on: artistic merit of the highest caliber, successful academic history, and personal capacity for intellectual curiosity.
Olivia is the 2015 Miss American’s Outstanding Teen. The daughter of Greg and Tracy McMillan, the family resides in Centerville.
