Local Veteran to Compete on Ms Veteran America

Myrna Figueroa, a local Air Force Veteran, is competing to be Ms. Veteran America 2015.

The Ms Veteran America competition’s purpose is to showcase “The Woman Beyond the Uniform“. It is about embracing grace, poise, beauty and talents while celebrating military service. The proceeds from this competition provides assistance for homeless women Veterans and their children through the national organization Final Salute Inc. (Final Salute Inc provides Transitional housing, Emergency Financial Assistance, and Employment Transition Support.)

All contestants are conducting a fundraiser for Final Salute Inc., and they are creating social profiles through Facebook and Twitter.
