BOE names Zabrina Cannady to student services position
The Houston County Board of Education approved Superintendent of Schools Mark Scott’s recommendation to name Zabrina Cannady the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services.
Cannady has served as the Director of Student Services since 2008.
“I am truly humbled by the level of trust Dr. Scott and the Board have placed in me to lead the Student Services Department,” said Cannady. “It is not every day that a person sees their dreams realized, yet that opportunity was given to me today.
“I am honored to realize my dream of being able to give back to the system that has given so much to me and my family.”
Cannady has worked for the school district for 16 years. Prior to joining the central office team, she served as Houston County High School’ s Special Education Department Chair and teacher.
