WR Little Theatre presents ‘Rabbit Hole’
Travel down the “Rabbit Hole” with Warner Robins Little Theatre’s upcoming production. It will be the debut of director Michael Castle.
“Rabbit Hole” takes place in New York where the Corbett family just eight months prior lost their 4-year-old son Danny, who was hit by Jason Willette played by Logan Smith, in a car.
The play shows us how humans cope in dealing with tragic events, Castle said. “I chose this production because my wife and I know exactly what the Corbetts are going through,” he said, referring to the fact they had lost their first son.
Becca, played by Debbie Martin, is the mother of Danny, who is trying to remove items in the house that remind her of him. But her husband Howie, played by Terry Minyard, is fighting against that.
While the Corbetts are still dealing with grief, Becca’s sister Izzy, played by Leslie Morales, is of no help as she’s getting into all kinds of trouble.
Nat, the mother of Becca and Izzy played by Dot Monahan, has some hidden anger, and to relieve some of that she turns to wine, which then turns into her subliminally blaming Becca for the accident.
Castle does not recommend children attend this play as he rates this play R for adult language.
He also said this is truly a community production. Habitat for Humanity, Phillips Furniture and Warner Robins Supply are just a few to mention who have donated to the set.
