Karen Bowman
Warner Robins – Karen Bowman, 70, entered into rest on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Karen was born on September 7, 1943 in Macon, Georgia. She was a 1961 graduate of Warner Robins High School. Karen went on to graduate from the Women’s College of Georgia becoming a scientist for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). She was also a member of the National Audubon Society. Aside from working in the laboratory, Karen also enjoyed flying as a certified pilot and enjoyed scuba diving.
Her father, Victor Sherwood Bowman, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving mother, Nelle L. Bowman of Warner Robins, Georgia; brothers, Victor Bowman of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Kenneth Bowman of Singer Island, Florida; and nieces, Erin Coy Bowman and Cristin Rae Bowman.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
