Walter “Donald” Wainwright
Walter “Donald” Wainwright age 77 of Covington, Georgia passed away on Tuesday November 26, 2013. On July 6, 1936 in Butler, GA., he was born to the Walter Wainwright and Nell Byrd Wainwright. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Wainwright, his mother Nell Byrd Wainwright and his brother Edward Wainwright. He was an avid gardener and golfer. He loved to go fishing in Cedar Keys, FL. as well as playing cards. He was a veteran of The National Guard and is survived by; his companion Erin Cooper of Covington, GA., sisters; Mary Ayes of Reynolds, GA., Connie McCarthy of Long Beach, MS., daughters; Beth Anne (Billy) Chase of Kennesaw, GA., Pam (Phil) Powlesland of Fort Valley, GA., grandchildren; Nikki, Will and Faith Chase of Kennesaw, GA., and Alexis, Ashley and Phil Powlesland of Fort Valley, GA. Memorial services for Mr. Wainwright will be held on Sunday December 1, 2013 from the hours of 2 O’clock in the afternoon, until 5 O’clock in the afternoon at Phoenix Funeral Services, Inc. 1424 Veterans Dr. Ste 1 Conyers, Georgia 30012. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Emory University Hospitals c/o “Office of Gift Records Emory University” 1762 Clifton Road Ste 1400MS 0970-001-8AA Atlanta, GA. 30322-4001 Phoenix Funeral Services, Inc. is in charge of arrangements (678)253-1876.
