Veterans High School Family, Career and Community Leader of America (FCCLA) members along with their adviser, Donna Maine Brown, spent their Saturday on Aug. 24 in a leadership training session at Camp John Hope in Ft. Valley. Sessions were presented on the different areas of leadership in FCCLA along with ideas for community service projects, Star Event Competitions and chapter officer responsibilities. Almost 300 FCCLA members and advisers from throughout Georgia attended the Discovery Training, so it was a great time to network with other FCCLA chapters and catch up with old friends. Members attending from Veterans High were: Tyler Frye, Emily Konicki, Shelby Burnette, Kathryn Buchanan, Libby Dejeet, Anna Hudspeth, and Kahlil Moss.
