Perry city council members decided to meet later in July to hash out the details of a strategic city plan.

The council heard a review of its April planning session during the special called meeting Tuesday.

Economic Development Director Mary Beth Bass reviewed the major topics that were discussed during the planning session. She asked, “How do you go about filling these holes?”

The holes Bass referred to concerned the gaps in the priorities the council members have discussed previously such as government services, economic development and quality of life.

She told the council that the vision and priorities of the plan need to be clarified by the council.

After a brief discussion, the council decided to meet on July 29 at 5 p.m. in order to better define what the council members would like in the city’s strategic plan.
