Perry Councilwoman Phyllis Bynum-Grace has decided to run for re-election.

She has held the seat for the City of Perry’s Post 1 in District 1 for four terms, she said.

During the years she has served the city, she has been involved in the neighborhood parks program, the planning of the Ball Street Extension, programs for senior citizens and in expanding the number of sidewalks.

According to Bynum-Grace, she supports economic development throughout the city, neighborhood code enforcement and clean-up activities and alternative transportation.

She said she is focused on improving the communication between residents and city departments.
