Bonaire – James W. “Buddy” Smith, Sr., 69, entered into rest on Monday, June 10, 2013.

Buddy was born on December 10, 1943 in Cochran, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Smith and Katie Sapp Johnson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Shirley Smith of Bonaire; children, James W. Smith, Jr. (Penny) of Kansas City, Missouri, Vannessa Lower of Centerville, Connie Wallace (Marvin) of Kathleen, and Toby, Chip and Alvin Smith, all of Bonaire; nineteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy Smith of Albany, Georgia.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Magnolia Park Cemetery with interment immediately following.
