Perry High student wins silver in Scholastic Art

Perry High junior Steven Le won a silver medal from the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his work titled “Bicycle.” He was invited to attend the awards reception at Carnegie Hall on May 31 in New York City. His art teacher is Catherine Heller.

More than 230,000 works of art and writings were submitted to the contest this year. Close to 1,900 Scholastic Award Medals were bestowed on the nation’s most talented teen artists and writers.
