Elected officials kick off chamber week

The  three  county

Mayors along with the County Commissioner Chairman Tommy Stalnaker signed a

proclamation on Monday kicking off the 2nd annual Chamber of Commerce Week.

The event was held at the Robins

Regional Chamber of Commerce in Warner Robins.

The four elected officials signed

the proclamation and each said a few words about the importance of the chamber

and its vital role in the business community.

The chamber of commerce is a

business-based, volunteer and member supported organization.

The chamber

has established a series of programs and events designed to promote the

business climate in Houston County.

Warner Robins Mayor Chuck Shaheen told the group that he believes strongly in

the chamber and thinks it is an important part of the community.

Centerville Mayor John Harley

commended the chamber for what they do and applauded the elected officials for

always working closely together to get things done.

Other events planned for Chamber

week include:

Tuesday: The Eggs and Issues

Breakfast was held in Hangar One at the Museum of Aviation. Legislators from

the local delegation talked about how state government is working to enhance

the Robins Region.

Thursday: the Super Business

After Hours and Business Expo. The expo will be from 5:30-8 p.m. in the Century

of Flight Hangar at the Museum of Aviation.

Friday: Chamber week will wrap

on with Business on the Greens: The Chamber Golf Tournament, which starts at 9

a.m. at the Landings Golf Club.
