Early morning accident kills driver and passenger

A driver and her passenger died as a result of a two-car accident

early Sunday morning.

 

According to Cpl. Sean Alexander of the Houston County

Sheriff’s Office, around 2:09 a.m. Evelena L. Bonner Adams, 34, of Macon, was

driving north in the southbound lanes of Houston Lake Road in a 1992 Lincoln

Towncar when she hit a 1992 Honda Passport, which was being driven by Samantha

Marie Scroggins, 25. Scroggins was headed south. The release states Scroggins

is originally from South Carolina and had recently moved to Bonaire.

 

Adams and her passenger, Demarko Oshay Howard, 25, of Macon,

were pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The accident happened at the intersection of Houston Lake

Road and Wrasling Way.

 

Rescue workers extricated Scroggins from her vehicle. She

was taken to the Macon Medical Center with serious injuries.

According to

the release, alcohol is considered a factor.  

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the

accident is asked to contact the Houston County Sheriffs Office Traffic

Division at 478-542-2080.
