Perry High School principal Darryl Albritton confirmed on

Monday that Stacey Harden has resigned as the school’s head football coach and

athletic director. Albritton said this was for “personal reasons.”

Carl Dixon, defensive coordinator, was named as the acting

head coach as the Panther program approaches spring football practice.

Albritton said that the school has posted the vacancy for

the 2013-14 school year and is currently taking applications through May 7.

Afterwards, he said they will conduct interviews with candidates with the goal

of having a name to present to the Board of Education the following week.
