One dead, officer injuried in domestic dispute
The man who was shot by a Warner Robins police officer on Sunday
night has been identified.
Anthony Rawls, 44, was fatally shot after exchanging gunfire
with police.
According to reports Rawls was a lieutenant at Macon State
Prison.
Warner Robins Police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh said the
shootout took place at Rawls’ 106 Huntwood Lane home.
She said a 911 call came in concerning a domestic
disturbance. On the way to the call, police were advised that Rawls had a gun
and was threatening his wife.
Pugh said more than on officer fired their weapons. Rawls
was pronounced dead on the scene, and one officer was treated for minor
injures.
As part of normal procedure in any officer involved
