Robins Physician Earns Air Force Medical Service Award

FORCE BASE, Ga.

A physician assigned to

the 78th Medical Group is the winner of the 2012 Chief of the Medical Staff

Commitment to Excellence Award. 

 
Lt. Col. Melinda

Screws won the honor, which recognizes individuals whose

outstanding actions improve the delivery of health care and contribute to

expeditionary medical operations for Air Force personnel worldwide.

 
“This award is

truly a reflection of the outstanding people I work with and their commitment

to excellence,” said Screws. “It also speaks to the quality of leadership and

mentorship I’ve been afforded in my career.”

 
Screws is one of more than 60 health care professionals who were

recognized in the annual Air Force Medical Service awards contest.

 

The competition

included both individual and team categories.
