Chamber of Commerce names Students of the Month
The Perry
Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the Students of the Month for
January. The recipients Barrett Stanley, Tanner Branham, and Janea Feeney
were presented with the award on January 24th at the Chamber Office with their
principals, family, and friends in attendance along with 2013 Chamber Chair
Beth McLaughlin, members of the Board of Directors, and President/CEO Stacy
Campbell.

Stanley Barrett will attend Georgia College & State University planning to
major in rhetoric, in preparation for Law school after
he completes his bachelor’s degree.
Tanner Branham
Tanner Branham is a senior at Veterans High School. He is the son of
Michael and Laura Branham of Kathleen. Tanner is an honor student and a
four year member of BETA club. Tanner is also active in the Prayer
Club and Partner’s Club. His favorite organization at Veterans is FFA.
He has been a member for three years and an officer for the last two
years. When not at school, Tanner enjoys hunting and fishing.
He spends a lot of his free time at the school farm working with his cow
and pig. Tanner will be attending the University of Georgia
going for a triple major in Animal Health, Dairy Science & Biological
Science before going on to the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine.

Janea plans to attend Mercer University upon completion of high school and
pursue a master’s degree in Environmental or Biomedical Engineering. She
would like to be able to use whatever skills she acquires in college to make a
difference in her community, whether it is in her hometown or across the globe.
