2024 national elections and money
The biggest question in 2024 is not who fills The Big Chair or who wins an Oscar but who sails to Home Port with all the chips. Never before in all of America have we witnessed the shuffle of dollars; such has been the subject during the Trump/Biden fiasco. It is assumed that all citizens are aware that it takes gold to float the boat or buy biscuits for the astronomical group of immigrants crossing the border, or even the ads that promote “Joe from Kokomo” needing a position! But to lavishly heap to the bucket, a whopping $200 million (plus) is past the beds of poses, roses and Nellie bar the door! The “Marvelous Electorate” wants to know where all the marbles end!
Questions and cliches aside, knowledgeable Americans do care who is “voted front and center,” but it is difficult to realistically count the cost when this much moola is gracing the mother lode or padded purse. These figures are totally out of the loop, and one has to wonder just how many ballots are tainted with the scent of financial gain. While a search back to former years does not always yield a “mellow fellow,” we were saints a century ago. Today’s “dunkin’ of the pumpkin” is as common as sunrise and welcome as “Willie with a windfall!” Credibility is relegated to forgotten chambers!
To those who choose to reflect upon The Sacred Text, they will remember, “the love of money is the root of all evil!” You cannot relish the accolades while a hand is in the cookie jar! Do remember, there are things that money cannot buy, such as love, honor, trust, credence, and integrity! It is tragic that millions have become slaves to clout and coin! Regardless of trade and grade, be assured of an eventual balanced book! There is no bargaining around the headstone! A dowery may dust your door and pay entrance to the emporium, but it does not afford a “cracked lid of the box for a fresh breath after termination! All men of prestige get paid to live, and DO NOT LIVE TO GET PAID!
