The

Westfield School varsity football team members joined together during the

Thanksgiving break for “Hornets for Hunger,” a service project led by senior

football players Evan Williams and Austin Jenkins. They helped coordinate the

donation of food from the varsity football team and organized a set amount of

groceries to provide a Thanksgiving meal as well as stock the pantry for 10

families.   In all, more than $2,000 in food was donated and delivered to these

families all living within a three-mile radius of the school. Members of the

varsity football team, along with head coach Ronnie Jones, William Carroll

(Westfield Head of School) and several of the football players’ parents

delivered the food personally to these families whose names were provided by

Perry Volunteer Outreach.
