VHS DECA makes it count at Open House

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Veterans High School DECA student organization made it count at Open House held on Aug. 15. The Veterans High School DECA chapter kicked off their year by selling school spirit-wear through their School–Based Enterprise and raising awareness of their chapter. To start the 2013-14 school year, the DECA chapter officers set up a booth to pass out flyers to inform the students and parents about DECA. The flyers included all the upcoming events and accomplishments from the past 12-13 school year. The students’ interest was high and several students completed membership applications and joined that night. The School-Based Enterprise was a huge success as well. Included with every purchase was an informational flyer about the VHS DECA chapter. Considering how many members the chapter had before Open House and how many they gained after Open House, it’s safe to say the Veterans High School Chapter made their “Open House Count.” Pictured are chapter officers Quintavius Farms and Christina Hill.
