Trying to set the world record
A company with the slogan “If we can’t build it … you don’t need it” has built what may become the longest golf cart in the world.
The official measurement came out to be 31 feet and 6.75 inches, said Marty McLeod of Ocmulgee Inc., the surveying company that performed the measurement.
The company used its surveying equipment to measure the golf cart from bumper to bumper.
“The best way to measure (the golf cart) is how we’re doing it,” stated McLeod.
After the measurement, the golf cart had to drive 100 meters under its own power.
Now that the measurement is complete, the application and accompanying paperwork has to be sent to the Guinness Book of World Records for affirmation.
