Trash pickup days could change for some
“Honey, did you remember to roll the trash to the street?”
Trash day will likely change for nearly 1,600 residents in
the unincorporated areas of Houston County. The change is needed because of the
growth in some of the service areas, according to Advanced Disposals Operations
Manager Jeanne Moyer.
The change would help balance out the pick-ups each day.
The County Commissioners are expected to vote on the change
at the next meeting. If approved, the change will take effect on April 22. A
notice on their trashcan will notify customers. Customers who do not get a
notice the week of April 8 will not have a change on their trash pick-up day.
