State Troopers release May statistics

State Troopers from the Perry Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 101 traffic crashes during the month of May in Houston County.


Sgt. First Class J.M. Maynard #356 said the traffic crashes resulted in 35 injuries and no deaths.


Maynard said Troopers from Post 15 also issued 408 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 13 arrests for driving under the influence, 68 citations for speeding, 166 seat belt violations, and 20 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 579 warnings.
