State Patrol reports busy December

Georgia State Troopers from the Perry post had a busy month of December.
 
According to a press release from GSP they investigated 79 traffic crashes during the month in Houston County.  
 
Post Commander Sgt First Class J.M. Maynard said the traffic crashes resulted in 34 injuries but no fatalities.
 
Maynard said troopers from Post 15 also issued 316 traffic citations in the county, arrested 10 people for driving under the influence and cited 99 motorists for speeding.
 

Seat belt violations totaled 68 while there were 21 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 370 warnings to drivers during the holiday season.
