Pick-up driver hurt in crash with school bus

The driver of a small pick-up truck was taken to the Medical Center in Macon after crashing into the back of a school bus on Wednesday.

The accident took place on Marshallville Road near Hilltop Road.

Fire Chief Joel Gray said there were three students on the bus at the time of the accident, but none of them were injured.

Gray said the driver of the truck was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Macon to be treated for the injuries he sustained from the crash.

The Georgia State Patrol worked the accident. The details outlining the cause of the wreck have not yet been released.
