The students at Perry Primary School have been encouraged to Read, Read, Read. The reading incentive program is called Reading Rocks. The students keep a log of all the books they read and are given charms to go on a necklace for every 10 books read. There were approximately 80 students in Kindergarten and first grade who read more than 100 books. A celebration was held in the library with popcorn and prizes for a great job reading this year. The three top readers in each grade level received special recognition. In kindergarten, the top readers were Kaylee Johnson, Maggie Brown and Coberley Brown. In first grade, the top readers were Lily Young, Ciara Cameron and Sadie Surber. The top readers for the school were Brown and Cameron.
