A little help from my friends- Warner Robins High school Tip Off Club looking to get help from community for banquet, championship rings
The Warner Robins High School Tip Off club, a non-profit, volunteer based organization is calling for the help of the people of Warner Robins and Houston County in order to get a banquet set up for both the 2018 5A state champion boys basketball team and Demonettes basketball team, one of the most successful basketball programs in middle Georgia the past four years.
The Tip Off Club is also attempting to procure funds for championship rings for the Demons while also recognizing the coaching staffs of both programs. “We’re on a mission to support a banquet, we’re trying to raise funds to help the programs, both girls and boys,” said Tip Of Club Vice President Maurice Dudley. “We want to reach out to the community to help support the programs in order to help them succeed.”
The rings are valued between $6,000-$7,000 for 13 players, five coaches and three managers according to Dudley, who is a Warner Robins High school alum and former basketball player. “I have reached out to churches and the community and we also have a GoFundMe page.”
Demons head coach Jamaal Garman, also a warner Robins High School alum, is behind the efforts of the Tip Off Club and appreciates their work the past four years. “They have always been very supportive of our programs,” said Garman via text Sunday night. “The Tip Off Club goes above and beyond to make sure that we’re taken care of. Most of the people that support us don’t have children that play in the basketball program any longer but are still some of the leaders in the club. I’
