Northside girls stage comeback on WRHS

Improving to 2-0 in Region 2-AAAA, the Northside High girls soccer team battled back from a one-goal deficit Friday to top rival Warner Robins 3-1. The Lady Eagles trailed 1-0 at halftime but came back and scored three in the second half.
 
Goals were scored by Kelsey Barton, Taylor Poole, and Megan Radcliffe. Kelsey Barton also had two assists.
 
Ryan Burkhart and the Northside team competed in the recent Bulldog Cup tournament hosted by Mary Persons High in Forsyth.
 
In the first match, the Lady Eagles defeated Mary Persons 1-0. Goal scorer was Anna Maddox.
 
In the second game the following Saturday morning Northside beat Spaulding 1-0, Barton scoring the lone goal.
 
That put the Lady Eaggles in the championship game against First Presbyterian Day, who claimed first place 3-0.
 

“All-in-all, I think it was a really good tournament for us,” said Burkhart. We played really hard.”
