Mears puts in 20 years service
LaMonte Mears, paramedic with Houston Healthcare, was recognized by the board of directors of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for achieving 20 years as a National Registered EMT.
Mears completed, on a biennial basis the most comprehensive recertification programs in America. He attends two hours per month of additional continuing education courses to advance his knowledge on new lifesaving skills.
Mears was nationally registered as a paramedic in 1993 and has been serving since 1988. He was named the Central Georgia EMS Region 5 EMT of the Year in 2011. He is an active volunteer with the Central Georgia Medical Reserve Corps since 2007. He completed the paramedic program at Darton College.
