HCHS Wins FFA Dairy Show Awards

HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – The

Houston County High School FFA Dairy Show Team won 11 awards at the 15th Annual

Houston County High School FFA Dairy Show.  Held this month at the Georgia

National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, 106 students competed.

 

Megan Douglass exhibited the Grand Champion heifer, and Haley Shultz exhibited

the Reserve Grand Champion heifer.  Megan is pictured with her Grand

Champion heifer.  Megan is also one of the members of the State Champion

Dairy Judging Team.  She will attend the University of Georgia next fall. {{more}}

Congratulations to the following additional award-winners:

     12th  grade

showmanship and Master Showman:  Shayna Spivey

·      9th grade showmanship:  1st place, Haley Shultz

·

     10th grade showmanship:

 1st place Tanner Scott

·

     11th grade showmanship:

 2nd place Jacie Babb

·

     9th grade showmanship:

 3rd place, Breighton Rumell

·

     Confirmation class winners:

 Joey Little, Jacie Babb, Haley Shultz and Megan Douglass.

FFA advisor Dr. Ronnie Thomas commented, “This was

a great way to start off the show season!  I am very proud of these young

men and women!”

 

Houston County High School is located at 920 Highway 96 in Warner Robins.
