DUI seminar aims to prevent drunk driving
A DUI prevention tactic was executed by the Houston County
Sheriff’s Office Monday at the Museum of Aviation.
The 5th Mob of Robins Air Force Base gathered at
the Century of Flight Hangar to hear a presentation from Deputy Justin Hall
that concerned the specifics of the DUI laws, showed photos of accidents
involving drunk drivers and, most importantly, offered a plan to prevent
further DUIs in the county.
Hall gave several steps in planning to avoid driving under
the influence, including calling a taxi and having a designated driver. Hall
said the designated driver, known as a DD, is a person who saves lives.
“The goal is to be more proactive in prevention,” stated
Hall.
