The Warner Robins Community Concert Association (WRCCA) announces its 30th year of quality musical programs for the Middle Georgia Area.

It will open with a free concert by the Wellston Winds, which was such a popular group last year. This community wind ensemble includes local band directors, music teachers, former Air Force musicians … and even an engineer. Under the direction of local band director Lloyd McDonald, the band’s concert on Sept. 15 begins with “Music from the Old World” and concludes with favorites by American composer George Gershwin.

All performances in the WRCCA season will be at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, 205 North Davis Dr.

Season tickets for the WRCCA 2013-2014 season will be on sale at the door. Season tickets are $30 for adults. Individual tickets for adults are $15. Throughout the year, students of all ages are admitted free.

Scheduled dates are: Sept. 15 – Wellston Winds (free); Oct. 6 – Eugenia Zukerman, flutist, accompanied by Milana Strezeva, pianist; Jan. 12 – Douglas Jurs, pianist, with guest, Franklin Gross; Feb. 9 – Calista Ann Koch, harpist; Mar. 16 – Dana Lyn & Kyle Sanna, Celtic music.
