Burglary suspects arrested

Two suspects who were allegedly involved in a burglary on

Old Hawkinsville Road Wednesday have been arrested.

 

According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office release,

the owner of the property called about seeing two people inside of a fenced

compound. The suspects reportedly headed into a wooded area behind a commercial

building.

 

Deputies found bolt cutters and a green duffel bag that

contained car and boat parts at the incident location, states the release.

 

David Scott Durham, 38, was located by Sgt. Slate Simons in

the area of the burglary when Durham was returning to his Toyota truck. Simons

found evidence that led to Durham’s arrest, states the release.

 

Shayna Self, 28, was arrested Thursday morning in relation

to the burglary.

 

Durham is charged with second degree burglary, possession of

a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of meth. Self is

charged with second degree burglary. Both have been released on bond from the

Houston County Detention Center.
