2012 All-Region 2-AAAAA football team

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Though

denied a chance to play for the Class AAAAA championship, Northside High’s

football Eagles were the major winners on the All-Region 2-AAAAA team as

released by Georgia High School Football Daily.

Kevin

Kinsler, the Coach of the Year, has never lost a regular-season game in his

three seasons since taking over for the retiring Conrad Nix. The only three

losses in his overall record came in the postsesaon, the last two being in the

GHSA semifinals.

Keshun

Hill is the region’s Offensive Player of the Year. Through the state

quarterfinals, Hill averaged 11.4 yards per carry, scored 17 touchdowns on the

ground, and his overall net rushing was 1,165 yards in 102 carries. That’s not

all, though, as Hill was also Northside’s leading pass receiver in catches (25),

yards (356) and touchdowns (eight).

Defensive

end Austin Roberts was tabbed as Defensive Player of the Year.
