WR city employee charged with theft by taking
A Warner Robins city employee was charged with Theft by Taking — Fiduciary following an investigation by detectives with the Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD), according to a Monday media release from the WRPD.
The Director of Community and Economic Development notified police regarding an employee theft, and detectives were told an employee had been taking money from the Mortgage Assistance Program.
The employee would receive the money and not receipt the City for it. The theft was discovered following an inquiry into Department funds, and the total amount passed $45,000.
Following this investigation, 54-year-old Pamela Mullis of Warner Robins, was charged with Theft by Taking — Fiduciary. Mullis was arrested at the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
