Police nab juveniles for burglary, obstruction
On April 23 at 2:46 p.m. officers of the Warner Robins Police Department arrested two juveniles for first degree burglary after responding to 92 Westcliff Circle in reference to suspicious activity.
According to a WRPD release, the responding officers were advised that two males were seen running from behind the residence carrying a television and then running to a nearby apartment complex. Officers went to make contact with the individuals inside one of the apartments, and reportedly a teenage male opened the door and then closed the door when he saw the officers.
The homeowner consented to have the residence searched, according to the release. Officers reported finding a television set and a Nintendo Wii that was reported as being stolen from another residence.
The release further states that while officers were searching the house, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male began to be combative with the officers. The 15 year-old is said to have begun shouting gang related statements and attempted to coerce others to fight the officers. They were taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Further investigation at the Westcliff Circle location revealed that the rear door had been kicked in. The television found inside the apartment was identified as being the stolen property from the residence.
The 15 and 16-year-old males were arrested and charged in connection with this incident.
The 15-year-old (male, Warner Robins) was charged with burglary – first degree, participation in criminal street gang and obstruction of an officer.
The 16-year-old (male, Warner Robins) was charged with burglary – first degree.
The juveniles were transferred into the custody of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Division. Both males have an extensive arrest history.
The 15-year-old was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property in connection with an April 15 burglary at 204 Westcliff Circle where the Nintendo Wii was stolen.
