Friday Night Football Roundup — Week 11
Recap Week 11 football with the Friday Night Football Roundup.

Playoff standings are becoming more clear, and region champions are being determined in these final weeks of the 2024 regular season.
Here’s a roundup of Friday’s football:
Houston County

The Bears needed a win against Thomas County Central to avoid falling to the fourth spot in the region standings, but they fell short 41-31. HoCo led 24-21 at halftime thanks to a field goal with under a minute left in the first half, but the Yellow Jackets outscored them 20-7 in the second half to take the game.
Northside

Northside fell to 2-7 on the season and extended their losing streak to seven in Friday’s 55-7 loss to Region 2-5A champion Lee County.
Perry

After what many consider an upset against Benedictine on Friday night, the Panthers have been crowned Region 1-4A champions after a 31-27 final in Savannah. A 57-yard pick-six from defensive end Ashlon Ashley and a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown highlighted Perry’s efforts.
Veterans

The Warhawks remain winless after Coffee came to town and delivered a 41-7 loss.
Warner Robins

Before this game Demons coach Shane Sams had never lost to Ware County as a player or coach. Friday’s 24-21 final changed that as Warner Robins fell in Waycross. Warner Robins’ defense held the Gators scoreless for most of the second half, but a field goal would be enough as the Demons’ offense couldn’t score enough to take advantage.
Westfield

It’s been nearly a decade since the Hornets won a district championship; That is until they defeated St. Anne-Pacelli 26-10 on Friday. This marks Westfield’s first district championship since 2015, and they will head into the postseason with a stellar 8-2 overall record and an undefeated 4-0 district record.
