Swinging the clubs for 60 years

The Business Development Committee of the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce presented Perry Country Club with a special recognition award for more than 60 years in business. Perry Chamber Business Development Committee past Chairman Rick Davis and City of Perry Mayor Jimmy Faircloth both commended the club and its Board of Directors for the longstanding commitment to the Perry community.

Mitch Hambrick, general manager, spoke about the Club’s history. Perry Country Club was incorporated on June 8, 1951, when the charter was accepted by a meeting of shareholders, several of whom are still active members of the Club. He also emphasized the fact that Perry Country Club is open to the public and that members had done extensive work on the greens in the past year.

Perry Country Club is one of the area’s premier public golf courses that specializes in golf outings and corporate events. They are open to the public, family oriented facility with very reasonable rates and specials.

Located less than 2.5 miles from the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agriculture Center and Interstate 75, Perry Country Club features an 18 hole, 6,465 yard, par-71 championship golf course cut from the pines of Middle Georgia. With the lush Bermuda grass fairways, new TifEagle Bermuda grass greens and three sets of tees, the course offers enjoyable and challenging test of golf.
