Perry seventh annual wine tasting

The Perry Downtown Merchants Association, a committee of the Perry’s Chamber of Commerce, produced their Seventh Annual Wine Tasting event at Downtown Perry Friday evening. Members of the public had a chance to walk to different booths where local businesses served different flavors of wine, nonalcoholic beverages and homemade drinks.

“We had 88 attendees who pre-registered for the event, which is the most we’ve ever had to pre-register,” said Bonnie Giles, chief operations officer of Perry Area Chamber of Commerce. “It was a great turnout as we had even more to attend that didn’t pre-register, everything was wonderful. We had great entertainment with the Megan Brent Band.”

Those that pre-registered received a ‘Shop Downtown Perry’ corkscrew. There were a total of 18 stops within the shops of Downtown Perry.
