One dead, one injured after shooting in Warner Robins

Police say the shooting broke out after a fight at a convenience store.

UPDATE – April 16, 9:15 p.m. : Warner Robins Police Department identified the victims as 24-year-old Zephaniah Langston and 18-year-old Javon Charles. Langston died from his injuries.

WARNER ROBINS — Warner Robins Police Department responded to a shooting Tuesday afternoon around 4:45 p.m, the department said in a release.

Officers received a shots fired call at the Pleezing Food Store, located at 801 S. Davis Drive. Officers made contact with a 15-year-old victim at the store with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg, side and chest.

Officers rendered aid while EMS arrived shortly after. The victim was transported to Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins, where he died from his injuries.

Meanwhile, a second victim, believed to be an 18-year-old male, was located at the 100 block of Oak Grove Road with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon for his injury.

Investigation of security footage revealed the victims had a fight inside the business and shots were fired outside between them.

The department is withholding the names of victims due to their ages and pending family notification.
